The Open Distro project is archived. Open Distro development has moved to OpenSearch. The Open Distro plugins will continue to work with legacy versions of Elasticsearch OSS, but we recommend upgrading to OpenSearch to take advantage of the latest features and improvements.

Upgrade to 1.13.0

Open Distro 1.13.0 includes two breaking changes from 1.12.0.

Plugin names

Open Distro 1.13.0 renames most plugins. For the latest plugin names, see Standalone Elasticsearch plugin install and Standalone Kibana plugin install.

ISM policies

Index State Management no longer supports the index.opendistro.index_state_management.policy_id setting for indices. Instead, add an ism_template to the policy. For more information, see Index State Management.
